Vegan Ice Cream: Sour Strawberry

Ingredients

I1:🍓2 lbs. Strawberry
I2:🍬1.25 cup sugar
I3:🛢️½ cup sunflower seed oil
I4:🧂¼ tsp salt
I5:🍋1 tsp citric acid

Instructions

Step 1:Macerate
I1: 🍓 2 lbs. Strawberry
I2: 🍬 1.25 cup sugar
Step 2:Blend
I3: 🛢️ ½ cup sunflower seed oil
I4: 🧂 ¼ tsp salt
I5: 🍋 1 tsp citric acid
Step 3:Churn

Notes

I read that ½ tsp of citric acid in 2 T of water replaces 2 T of lemon juice.

Result

The final result was a bit firmer than without the citric acid, but still good. It has a slight sour taste, which I’ve grown to enjoy.
