A friend asked for dark cherry pistachio. Turns out, he wanted pistachio dark cherry.
This was interesting. The pistachios make a good mix-in as they have a nice crunch, and they don't get too hard as they get cold. Their flavor is present, but also largely overwhelmed by the dark cherry. By reversing the mix-in and the base, you get a better sampling of both flavors.
